All Hail Police Credit Union's Pageant King!

24 September 2018

We have some very exciting news to announce… Police Credit Union and the Credit Union Christmas Pageant has a new King!

That’s right, our very own Brandon Kelly from our Adelaide branch has been crowned as the Credit Union Christmas Pageant King alongside his Queen, Katrina Edwards from Beyond Bank.

As a proud sponsor of the Credit Union Christmas Pageant for the past 23 years, this is a very special honour in what will be our last year as one of the sponsors of the event.

After an interview in front of a panel, including Brian Gilbertson, the Credit Union Christmas Pageant Creative Director, Brandon was chosen out of three other Princes from the various credit unions as this year’s King.

Brian said that the judging panel for the Royal Family this year had a really tough job selecting the Queen and King as all were very strong candidates.

“Each and every member of the 2018 Credit Union Christmas Pageant Royal Family are worthy of their titles. Their community spirit and values as well as their Pageant passion are the qualities needed to excel in these roles,” said Brian.

King Brandon will be taking part in his first ever Christmas Pageant as a King nonetheless.

“It is an honour and privilege to be crowned King, especially in my first Pageant,” said King Brandon.

We can’t wait to see King Brandon on the Royal Float alongside Queen Katrina and the other members of the Royal Family, including Police Credit Union’s Princess Julia Blanka who will take her place on the float with Prince Fred Storbeck from Credit Union SA, Princess Jaye Hurley and Prince Cameron Forster (People’s Choice Credit Union) and Princess Kate Swann and Prince Roy Walton (Beyond Bank Australia).

Don’t miss the Credit Union Christmas Pageant on Saturday, 10 November 2018 and make sure you drop into our Adelaide branch in the lead up to the big day to say hi to King Brandon.
