Police Credit Union Helps Celebrate A Special Birthday For A Special Organisation

For the last fifty years Barkuma has been supporting South Aussies with disabilities, helping them to live, work and be included in the community. From working alongside people with a disability to help them find a rewarding job, to teaching them new skills, Barkuma provides services to over 700 people in South Australia. Having been started by ten families in the northern suburbs of Adelaide, this organisation has gone from strength to strength and has grown to be one of the largest disability organisations in the state.

Fifty years of amazing work is work well worth celebrating…

So, to kick off their 50th Anniversary Launch they are throwing a party. Customers, past and present staff, supporters and community members are all invited to the special event being held on Friday 24 February, 2017 at the beautiful Carclew grounds in North Adelaide. The festivities kick off from 5.30pm and will include fantastic food and drinks (available for purchase) live music, entertainment, dancing and, of course, some reminiscing.

You can enter with a gold coin donation with all proceeds from the event going directly to Barkuma’s Elizabeth factory upgrade project.

We look forward to celebrating fifty years of Barkuma and to continuing our partnership with this very special organisation. We hope to see you there!
