Ride Like Crazy And Help A Worthy Cause
04 January 2017
On Sunday 15 January, 2017 another year of Lightsview Ride Like Crazy will take place, and Police Credit Union are proud to sponsor this event for what will be the ninth year in a row.
Our staff will join hundreds of other eager riders who get involved in the cycle (either the full distance of 107.5km or the half distance of 51.24km). Kicking off from Unley, the ride has been running since 2009, following the untimely loss of Senior Sergeant Mick “Crazy” Koerner of the South Australian Police who lost his battle with an inoperable brain tumour in November of 2009.
In a bid to promote the fight against cancer and to raise funds for the cause, his work colleagues, family and friends established this cycling event called ‘Ride Like Crazy’.
We will be at Unley Oval on the day of the event, with a special guest (he is big, blue, furry and very friendly) and would love to see your smiling faces there for all of the fun and action!
If you are interested in taking part in the event, registrations are still open and can be completed here.
Good luck to all the riders participating in this year’s event!
Below are some photos from the 2016 event, after the big race!
