Sharing The Blue Love This Valentine's Day

Love comes in all forms and, here at Police Credit Union, ours just happens to come in blue! And this Valentine’s Day we wanted to share the love in our local community. So, we organised a little surprise that included a lot of dough and a lot of fur…
If you have ever wondered what 1000 heart-shaped, blue-iced doughnuts look like, we now have the answer! After teaming up with Bakery on O’Connell, we had almost 1000 delicious doughnuts delivered to our head office on the morning of Valentine’s Day. But, as much as we could have made our way through a lot of them, they weren’t for us! We had bigger plans for the tasty treats…
Of course, our furry, blue friend Poccu was involved in the whole day… He jumped on board an EcoCaddy and made his way around town, delivering doughnuts to some lucky local businesses! We also had some of our friendly staff members head to various police stations around the city and suburbs handing out the doughnuts to some hard working police officers (and dogs).
The team over at Holden Hill Police Station were in for an extra surprise as they were also served up cups of fresh coffee made by Lisa the barista from the back of the awesome Bean There Drank That Coffee van. We figured that not much else says “we love you” like a perfect cup of coffee and a freshly baked doughnut… We don’t think we were wrong!
We hope everyone had a very happy Valentine’s Day, and who knows, maybe next year you will get a little taste of some blue love!
