SMS One Time Password (OTP)

As of 1 August 2013 Police Credit Union increased Internet Banking security by introducing mandatory SMS One Time Passwords for all online external transfers including BPAY.

This authentication tool involves a randomly generated password being sent via SMS text message to a pre-registered mobile phone.

With SMS One Time Passwords you receive these added banking security benefits:

  • FREE and additional online security.
  • Notification of any unauthorised payment attempts from your account.
  • Ability to transfer funds in excess of our standard limit.
  • Pre-authenticate your regular billers and payees.

This mandatory authentication process will help to protect your funds when transacting online. It increases the authentication process  in online security eliminates the need for CAPTCHA – the image that currently appears when you login to your internet banking portal.

As of 24 September 2013 you will no longer have to enter in the CAPTCHA text when you login to your Internet Banking portal.

Guardian Fraud Protection Service

Guardian Fraud Protection Service is a comprehensive suite of services provided by Police Credit Union to keep your transactions safe and secure.

You are covered by the Guardian Money Back Guarantee

If you suffer a loss as a result of a fraudulent transaction, Police Credit Union will credit your account with the amount of the loss, provided you have not directly contributed to the fraud and have notified us promptly of the fraud

To register for SMS One Time Passwords, follow these simple steps. If you have any trouble, please call 1300 131 844 and speak to one of our friendly staff.

You need to be a registered Internet Banking member before you can activate SMS One Time Passwords. Call us on 1300 131 844, or you can print out an Internet Registration Form and return to the Police Credit Union by any of the following methods:

Online statements provide a convenient and fast way to check your accounts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, free of charge. You can access current and historical statements for up to 6 months, with no limit to the number of eligible accounts that can be accessed.

Another benefit is you don’t have to worry about keeping track of a paper statement, and can save a copy of your statements to your own PC.

To view your Online Statements you must be registered for Internet Banking, have an eligible account and be an account holder of the nominated account/s.
