Ann-Marie Chamberlain joins Police Credit Union Board

Ann-Marie Chamberlain (GAICD) has been appointed as Non-Executive Director on the Police Credit Union Board, following an extensive recruitment and selection process.

In announcing the appointment, Police Credit Union Chair, Alex Zimmermann, said Ms Chamberlain offers more than 15 years’ executive experience in the Banking Sector, and a personal understanding of issues facing police as the daughter and wife of retired Police Officers.

“Ann-Marie represents an outstanding candidate to join our Board. Not only has she been a member of Police Credit Union since 1981, her commitment to customer service and giving back to the community throughout her successful career strongly aligns with our own strategic focus and community support,” Mr Zimmermann said.

“Ann-Marie has extensive experience in business leadership and development, corporate strategy, retail banking, financial management and reporting, as well as risk management, so there is no doubt that she will be of great value to Police Credit Union.”

Ms Chamberlain has previously worked as a Senior Executive at State and National levels in Financial Services. In her role as State General Manager NAB Retail, she led a business with Assets of $4.4B, Liabilities of $3.2B an expense base of $39M, with 320 people in her team.

 “She is well known for having a relentless focus on the customer and employee experience, whilst always delivering on key financial objectives. We look forward to her contributing to our ongoing success and driving innovation.”

 “Ann-Marie is also passionate when it comes to local community initiatives, and currently serves on two Boards in the capacity of Chair for Volunteering SA/NT and a Trustee for Kalyra Communities,” Mr Zimmermann said.

Having begun her new role on Tuesday 15 March 2022, Ms Chamberlain has undertaken responsibilities and accountabilities serving on the Police Credit Union Board, Board Risk Committee and Board Audit Committee.
