Get to know Dylan a little more…

What led you to work for Police Credit Union? How did you end up in your current role?

I graduated high school and Police Credit Union were offering a traineeship in Business Administration which, at 18 years old, I didn’t really understand the role, but I applied and was lucky enough to be offered the job. After completing the traineeship and spending a few more years in that department I was encouraged to apply for a role in the Adelaide Branch. I spent two years in the branch during which I was promoted from Teller to Loans Officer. I then took on the role of Product Coordinator where I was involved with ensuring our rates remain market leading and we continue to improve our offerings. I have always wanted to move into a leadership role and given my branch and product experience when the opportunity came up for the Assistant Branch Manager role it was an easy decision as it’s a great opportunity.

What are you most excited for in your role as Assistant Branch Manager?

I’m excited to be joining a strong and successful branch, I love seeing others succeed and am looking forward to being able to share my knowledge and help contribute towards future success and staff development.

Did you always plan on staying at Police Credit Union?

When I started, I wasn’t sure what my career path was going to be or where I wanted it to be. With Police Credit Union encouraging my development, it was a no brainer to stay and continue my career here.

What opportunities have you been given working at Police Credit Union?

Police Credit Union has given me the opportunity to work across different branches including a two week stint in our Mt Gambier branch which helped fast track my learning and progression. I have had great support to continue to strive for roles and have experienced firsthand the way Police Credit Union likes to promote from within.

What’s the best part of your job?

Its only early days in my new role but so far, the best part is being able to help support and develop the team.

Where do you see yourself in five years?

In five years, I hope to be leading a branch or department as a manager here at Police Credit Union.

What have been some of your highlights during your time with Police Credit Union?

Being a part of the last two Credit Union Christmas pageants was a highlight. Both years, I was part of the team handing out Pageant merch to all the families and kids sitting excitedly along the route.
